Assisting a UK business in a Transatlantic acquisition

The client was referred to us through professional contacts and required advice and assistance in relation to share valuation work for an exiting board member, as well as advice in relation to share options in the company.

Having experienced our bespoke personal service alongside our excellent technical tax expertise, the client returned to us some months later for advice on something completely different – advice as to the UK tax implications of a potential acquisition of a Canadian business, which would complement the existing business profile, and act as a gateway into the North American market.

This is an example of a frequent situation we have at Leathers, where clients come to us for advice in one area of work, but return to us for further projects having been impressed with our levels of advice and service.
